About the Journal

The Asean Journal of Process Control (AJPC), a journal affiliated with the Malaysian Process Control Society (MyPCS) is the first Journal in Process Control originating from the Asean Region. It is considered an important milestone of MyPCS, officially launched in 2019, for promoting the development of the process control discipline in Malaysia and the Asean region. With the advent of IR 4.0 in the manufacturing sector and the rapid development of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in engineering applications, there has been a resurgence of research interests in various research topics related to process control in this region as well as globally at large.

As the control community in the Asean region is expanding, a journal such as this is considered timely and critical. This journal plays an important role in the rapid dissemination of important contributions in the process control field as well as in promoting the development and collaboration among researchers in this discipline within the region and those outside Asean.

Our scientific editorial board involves researchers who are active in the process control field in Malaysia, the Asean region, and the world at large. They will not only be involved in the review and editing processes but will also contribute to publishing state-of-the-art papers and the latest research updates in the field.

The journal scope covers all the topics related to controls in the theoretical and application aspects of conventional, advanced, or emerging techniques and technologies.

The journal will also publish tutorial expositions, short communications, and state-of-the-art reviews from time to time. However, interested authors need to contact the editorial board first before submitting their review or tutorial manuscripts.

Initially, the journal aims to publish papers twice a year and increase its frequency in the future. The journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal to be indexed in Google Scholar, Compendex, Scopus, and WOS in due time.

The first issue of this journal is to be published tentatively by the end of 2021. The journal looks forward to and deeply appreciates the support and cooperation of researchers in the process control field to contribute to this journal regularly.
